A solemn and patriotic event titled Youm-e-Tashakur was held on 16 May 2025 at the auditorium of Sir Syed College, The Mall, Rawalpindi. The purpose of the event was to pay homage to the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the resilient citizens on their momentous victory in Operation Bunyanu-um-Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq.
The proceedings commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Faizan Bhatti, student of BBA- 4th Semester, followed by the stirring rendition of a Milli Naghma, setting the tone for a spirit-filled and grateful gathering. The event was organized under the supervision of the respected Principal of F.G. Sir Syed College Rawalpindi, Shah Imam ud Din Hashmi. Faculty and students alike came together to express their heartfelt appreciation for the sacrifices and valor of the armed forces.
Associate Professor Imran Arif served as the stage secretary, seamlessly conducting the flow of the program with commendable professionalism.
One of the highlights of the event was the impassioned speech delivered by Professor Dr. Mujahid. His powerful words ignited a sense of patriotism among the students and underscored the importance of national unity and sacrifice.
The event concluded with an address by the esteemed Principal, Shah Imam ud Din Hashmi. He highlighted the recent unprovoked aggression by India on the night of the 6th and 7th of May, which resulted in the martyrdom and injuries of innocent Pakistanis. He stated that India’s cowardly attack compelled Pakistan to respond. The principal paid tribute to the valor and professionalism of the Pakistani Armed Forces, who not only defended the homeland with unmatched courage but also etched a golden chapter in the nation’s military history. He emphasized that the day stands as a symbol of gratitude towards the defenders of the nation and a reminder to bow before Allah for His countless blessings.
